Vehicles traced and seized in Forfar after failure to stop

The investigation followed the recent failure of two drivers to stop when requested to do so by officers.

On both occasions, the vehicles were later traced and found to have no insurance resulting in both being seized by local response and community officers.

One of the drivers is to be reported for driving offences while enquires continue to identify the other driver.

Sergeant Crichton, Community Sergeant for Forfar and Kirriemuir, said “Community, Response and Roads Policing Officers continue to carry out proactive patrols and seize vehicles which are driven without insurance and in a manner which present a risk to other road users.”
