Appeal after vehicles and tools taken from property near Kirriemuir

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for information after two high value thefts from a property near Kirriemuir during December and January.

A green Land Rover Defender, two quad bikes, two trailers and tools were stolen from an address at Maryton by Kirriemuir.

The Land Rover bearing registration T444 NKO was stolen around 4.10pm on Saturday, January 15 and was spotted being taken away from the location on a flatbed trailer.

The quad bikes, trailers and tools were taken some time between Saturday, December 25 and Wednesday, 19 January.

Police Constable Thomas Miller, of Forfar Police Station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who knows the whereabouts of the Land Rover, quad bikes, trailers and tools to come forward.

"The Land Rover was captured on CCTV being towed on a flatbed by a silver Mitsubishi from Maryton by Kirriemuir towards the A90.

"Anyone with any information should contact officers through 101 with reference 0823 of January 19.”
