Glamis Castle is inviting visitors to “make a day of memories” with a host of activities for all ages to enjoy as a family as part of the holiday long weekend.
Taking place from 10am-4pm on Corondation Day itself (May 6), visitors will be invited to delve into Scottish history during one-hour tours of the Castle’s famous gardens. There will be family-friendly activities including a crown-themed treasure trail in the grounds and gardens, and Art Attack Angus will provide art and craft kits for children. There will also be a professional face painter and glitter tattoo artist.
In the grounds, visitors will be taken on a journey to a bygone era with live music from the Vintage Girls, one of Scotland’s top vocal harmony trios. Also adding to the regal nature of the day, a selection of stunning vintage vehicles will be on display in front of the castle.
For those looking for a special Coronation Day lunch, the castle is also offering a special picnic menu where visitors can pre-order a picnic hampers to pick up from the Castle Kitchen Restaurant and enjoy anywhere they like in the grounds.
