NHS Tayside’s head of service for audiology has been awarded honorary life members of the British Society of Audiology.

For over five years, Samantha Batty has supported the work of the BSA Professional Guidance Group (PGG) which works to improve standards for audiology practice worldwide. She will retire next year after 37 years and will step down from the PGG. The BSA has made the nominated in recognition of her contribution to the society.

She said: “During my time with the PGG we have worked as a team to deliver high standards of practice across all areas of audiology across the world. I will be sad to stand down as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the group, but I’m glad that I continue to be a member of the BSA.”
