Relationships Scotland Tayside & Fife held a relaunch and AGM yesterday recently to celebrate 36 years in the area, helping families to build bridges with those important to them, through its family mediation, counselling and children’s contact services.

More than 50 people attended the event at the Apex Hotel in Dundee, including key stakeholders, clients and staff, enjoying visual elements representing beneficiaries’ journeys and valuable feedback gathered over the years.

Guests were also welcomed at stalls to share practical information specific to their services and answer questions.

A short fly-on-the-wall film, ‘A Day in the Life of our Team’, was then premiered, which shows the diverse ways in which staff support family members as they work on reconnecting with each other and resolving issues.

One guest said: “Although I was aware of what Relationships Scotland Tayside & Fife does, this event has brought to life the huge impact it has on people, the sheer breadth of its work and how it has literally saved families, relationships and individuals.”

Marta Henderson, the charity’s CEO, said: “We were delighted to bring together people that have helped, participated in, or benefitted from, our services over the last 36 years, highlighting the value and importance of the work we do.

"Through our highly skilled team, we are here to help people of all ages to develop and enjoy positive relationships. By giving people space, opportunity and the necessary skills, we can really make a difference, enabling them to fix family problems and heal relationships.”

The organisation has also refreshed its branding, website and promotional materials.

Its key messages emphasise that its services are nationally accredited and recognised through the wider, nationwide ‘Relationships Scotland’ network, while at the same time are offered by a highly trained, local team based in Arbroath Dundee, Arbroath, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Perth.
