Kind-hearted residents and staff from Barchester’s South Grange Care Centre in Monifieth coordinated a collection of non-perishable food items and toiletry products.

All the donations were handed over to their local Dundee and Angus Foodbank which will give these to members of the community who are struggling this Christmas.

Senior Activities Coordinator, Gill Conway commented: “Everyone at the home is very much aware that lots of people are finding it difficult to feed themselves and their families this year and we all wanted to help in whatever way we can. We put our heads together to come up with a plan of action to collect as much non-perishable food and other useful products as possible to help those less fortunate than ourselves”.

General Manager, Catherine Lappin says: “We all had the same feeling that we had to do something to help others so we started to collect together food and other useful products to donate to the community.”
