From roughcasting to legal - Gavin can do it all!

Having initially left school at 15, Gavin’s path to the legal profession is quite unique in that, prior to joining the Chamber Practice, he spent 13 years working in construction, combining some of that time with his undergraduate studies.

Gavin joined the Chamber Practice in Brechin as a part-time administration assistant in September of 2020, having previously taken up a part-time Law Lecturer role at North East Scotland College.

He continued to fulfil his lecturing duties alongside his traineeship well into his second year and is now able to celebrate his admission to the roll of Scottish Solicitors.

Gavin will play a key role in managing the Brechin Office and supporting clients with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Executries, Estate Agency as well as Residential and Commercial Conveyancing transactions.

Gavin is delighted to have qualified and told us: “When I left school at 15, I did not envisage my going back to study, let alone qualifying as a solicitor.

"It has been a fulfilling journey.

"I love dealing with our Brechin clients in an office which is a much warmer environment than the building sites which I started on!”

Chamber Practice was founded by Scott Campbell in Dundee in 2002.

The company now employs 20 people across three locations in Dundee, Brechin and Cupar and specialises in Estate Agency, Property conveyancing (Residential and Commercial), Private Client services and Immigration.
