Angus Council has said that from seasonal essentials to must-buy gifts, the county has everything needed for a perfect Christmas.

Its towns and villages are very much open for business now and throughout the festive season, offering the perfect opportunity to shop local.

And with free parking in all council car parks and free on-street parking up to 60 minutes, there has never been a better time to come off-line and take to our High Streets and local shopping areas.

Councillor Mark Salmond, communities and finance convener, said: “After a long period of time where our shopping habits have been restricted by Covid-19 and in many respects refocused on to the internet, now is the time to browse and to buy local.

“We have a fantastic array of unique independent shops and small businesses in Angus that offer a wide range of fine goods and produce, which is supported by free on and off-street parking. Many of our resilient local traders have pulled out all the stops to ensure that after last year’s more muted festive season, our shopping areas are the perfect places to spend time and truly get in the Christmas spirit.”
