Montrose Playhouse competition to name snack bar extended

Last week we announced an exciting competition in partnership with the Montrose Playhouse Project and Specsavers to name the brand-new snack bar at the cinema. The deadline for the competition has now been extended until Friday, September 17 to allow readers more time to submit their entries.

The Playhouse will launch to the public on Friday, October8, with the red-carpet opening night taking place beforehand for ticketholders – and our winner and their guest – only.

Bridgeen Johnston, Director Optometrist at Specsavers Montrose, says: ‘We’ve received some great name ideas for the snack bar so far but we’ve extended the competition by a week so there is still plenty of time for people to get involved.

“I know everyone in the community is really excited and we cannot wait to visit the Montrose Playhouse Project.

"It will be a fantastic addition to the town, so we are delighted to be a part of it.’
